I am addicted to multitasking.  I cant seem to avoid doing it.  To me, it just makes more sense to do more than one thing at a time, if possible.  However, I have heard time and time again that multitasking is counter-intuitive, doesn’t increase productivity, etc.  I’m considering breaking a hard habit.  Here’s what I’m thinking. I have to admit, I have had somewhat of an obsession in the past few months with Mac programs in the “getting things done” category (GTD), as well as the organization of my projects and tasks.  I have hopped from one trial to the next in search of the perfect programs which fit my needs.  I feel I have finally found a solution which works. Gmail: Send and receive email from other accounts

GmailDo you have as many emails as I do?  This tutorial is going to show you how you can use Gmail to check every single one of them at the same time in the same window.  How do we do this?  The process is actually simple!

We will cover the following steps:

  • Set up forwarding in the account you want to transfer to Gmail
  • Set up your external account inside of Gmail
  • Validate the account
  • Create a filter to separate the default address emails from the external address’s emails
  • Send and receive emails from the external account

This is one of the coolest things I have ever done with Gmail.  I love Gmail!  It certainly makes life easy!
